Create, edit, and run a query
- Step 1: Create and edit a query
When you create or edit a query, the Define Query page appears. On the Define Query page, you specify conditions and link them with operators. - Step 2 (Optional): Specify query logic
When you specify conditions in a query, they are connected using default operators. You can modify the operators as needed. - Step 3: Preview the query
The Query Wizard allows you to select the configuration and variables and preview the results of the query. - Step 4: Save the query
After you are satisfied with the query you can save it to an existing project or to a new project. - Step 5: Run a query
Each time that you run a query, Oracle Empirica Signal executes the query. Even if you do not change values for variables in the query, if the source data changed since the last time you ran the query, the query results can differ from when you last ran the query. - Step 6: Work with the cases retrieved by the query
When you run a query, the cases Oracle Empirica Signal retrieves from the source data appear on the Cases page. You can download case details and run reports against the cases found by the query.
