Customize the columns in the Data Viewer

In the Data Viewer, all column customizations are saved automatically for the current user, and are reloaded automatically for subsequent sessions. You can do the following:

• Resize a column:
  • Click the separator between any two columns, and drag the column to the desired width.
• Reorder column positions:
  • In the table, drag and drop data column headings to the position you want them in.
• Show or hide columns:
  1. Select Options > Configure Columns.
  2. Select the checkboxes for the columns you want to display.

     Note:

     You can't hide the Subject column.
• Configure column names:
  1. Select Options > Configure Columns.
  2. From the Header Names drop-down list, select the type of column names that you want to use.
     • Report element—Cognos Reporting column names.
     • Reporting data extract column—RDE column names.
  3. Click Apply.
