NetSuite for Government Version 26.2.3 – Release Date February 23, 2026
Human Resources and Payroll:
- Payroll Posting Map to Override Posting Strategies Enhancement:
- Background:
- Some customers have specialized posting needs—particularly around populating or clearing subledger fields such as Program, Project, Project Task, and other dimensions. In these scenarios, customers may want payroll posting maps to run at the very end of the payroll posting process so they can apply final, authoritative overrides.
- Changing the existing posting map logic to run at the end by default could introduce risk for customers who rely on posting maps earlier in the workflow. Because this would require broad impact assessment and extensive regression testing, existing payroll postings logic will remain intact.
- What’s Changed?
- A new checkbox has been added to the Payroll Posting Map, "Run at End and Override All Posting Logic".
- Select this option to run the payroll posting map at the end of the posting process, enabling final overrides of posting values.
- Updated Processing Logic:
- During Employee Posting Detail creation, each transaction must evaluate
Payroll Posting Map records by priority and respect the new checkbox:
- If Run at End and Override All Posting Logic is not selected, the posting map runs in its current position in the process (no change to existing behavior).
- If the checkbox is selected, the posting map runs at the end of the payroll posting workflow.
- When a transaction meets a posting map’s selection criteria, the fields listed in Fields to Update must be overridden accordingly.
- Posting maps can now run at different stages—some mid-process and others at the end—depending on whether this checkbox is enabled.
- During Employee Posting Detail creation, each transaction must evaluate
Payroll Posting Map records by priority and respect the new checkbox:
- Background:
- Affordable Care Act (ACA) Reporting Enhancement:
- A new preference has been added to support generating Employee ACA records for
employees who are ACA full-time but do not report hours worked (for example, no
timesheets/timecards). This ensures ACA records can be created based on Employee
Group assignment rather than relying solely on calculated ACA Reportable Hours.
- New Preference Field:
- Navigation: Payroll and HR Preferences > Affordable Care Act Reporting> Generate Employee ACA by Employee Group
- Select applicable Employee Groups in which to automatically generate Employee ACA records, regardless of calculated ACA Reportable Hours derived from timesheets. If at least one of the employee’s Position and Pay records for the reporting period has the corresponding Employee Group, an ACA record will be generated. This is intended for employees considered full-time under ACA who do not report hours worked. This is not needed if all employees are required to submit timecards.
