NetSuite for Government Version 26.4.3 – Release Date April 15, 2026
Finance:
- Trial Balance for Government:
- What is it?
- A new Government Trial Balance report that gives you a single view of general ledger balances across funds and segments. It’s designed to help you validate financial data, spot anomalies, and prepare financial statements without jumping between multiple reports.
- What’s New?
- Fund-Level Balance Rollups — Balances are properly aggregated at the fund level, with fund balance (equity) accounts treated correctly.
- Beginning Balance Calculations — The report calculates beginning balances based on your fiscal period selection. Revenue and expense accounts start at zero for fiscal year-to-date.
- Debit and Credit Activity — Separate debit and credit columns with a net impact calculation so you can see exactly what happened during the period.
- Flexible Filtering and Grouping — Dynamic filters for subsidiary, period, fund, department, and account. Group data at the level that makes sense for your analysis.
- Configurable Segments — Program and Project segments can be enabled in your environment’s configuration. Once turned on, they appear as additional filters, grouping options, and report columns.
- Column Controls — Show or hide debits, credits, and net impact. Use “Exclude Zero Activity” to clean up rows with no balances or movement.
- Export and Print — Export the full dataset to CSV, Excel, or PDF. Exports respect your filters and column selections.

- Required Filters:
- Subsidiary — Your reporting entity.

- Required Filters:
- Segments:
- Fund, Department, and Account are available by default. Program and Project can be enabled through configuration. Selecting any segment value automatically recalculates the report.

- Subsidiary / Fund / Dept / Account Segment values for each row.
- Program / Project Shown if enabled in your configuration.

- Net Impact Debits minus Credits.

- Good to Know:
- Fund balance (equity) accounts are always rolled up at the fund level only — they won’t break out by department or account.
- Changing any filter immediately refreshes the report. Use Clear All to reset, and Run Again to reload data.
- Exports include the full dataset, not just the current page.
- Quick Start:
- Select your Subsidiary and Accounting Period.
- Apply segment filters if needed (Fund, Department, Account, Program, Project).
