NetSuite for Government Reporting Version 25.9.2 – Release Date October 06, 2025

Human Resources and Payroll:
  • State Reports Enhancement:
    • Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Report Logic Update

The logic for the Iowa and Illinois Unemployment Insurance (SUI) reports has been enhanced:

The employee selection query for SUI reports will now reference the Payroll Item Line > SUI State Field (custrecord_ns4g_payline_suistate). Payroll line items will only be included if the employee’s SUI State matches the state required for the report.

If the SUI State field is blank, the system will use the original State Tax field (custrecord_ns4g_payline_state) for evaluation.

Payroll item lines will be excluded if the employee’s SUI State or State Tax does not match the report’s targeted state. This ensures that employees who change states mid-year are reported correctly, reflecting the SUI state at the payroll line-item level.

For SUI reports only, employees marked as exempt from State Unemployment Insurance (custentity_ns4g_taxes_suistateexempt) will be excluded entirely from the report.

  • Arizona W2 Report Enhancements:
    • In the Define Data section of the Arizona W2 report, a new dropdown option labeled "ALL QUARTERS (JAN-DEC)" is now available in the Quarter field. Selecting this option will return all pay line items with payment dates within the calendar year (1/1/YYYY to 12/31/YYYY). The "SUI Taxable Wage Base Limit" field has been removed from the Define Data page, as it does not apply to this report.
  • Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) Report:
    • A new report option, Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS), is available under the report dropdown for the state of Arizona.
To Generate the Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Report (PSPRS)
      1. Go to Reports > State Filing > Export.
      2. On the State Filing Reports page, click New to generate a new report.
      3. The Generate State Filing Report page opens.
      4. On the Report section, select the State of Arizona and the PSPRS Report from the Report from the drop-down.On the Reporting period section, enter the Pay Period End Date. Enter the Pay Date/Pay Period Retirement Date. Enter the Entity(s) to be included in the report.

You will be redirected back to the State Filing Reports page. If the report status is not set to Expired, Errors or Still in Progress, the report is available to review and export.

      5. Click the link under the Report column to preview the results and export the report.
    • System Criteria in Generating the PSPRS report:

      From the Define Data Section:

The system will find and return Employee Payroll Pay Line Items where the related pay period's Retirement/PERS Reporting Date (custrecord_ns4g_payperiod_persdate) matches the Pay Date/Pay Period Retirement Date specified in Define Data. This matching logic aligns with standard processing in other retirement reports.

      Multi-Entity Selection:

Only employees whose Pay Line Item record entity matches one of the entities selected in the Define Data section will be included.

There is no additional grouping for records if multiple entities are selected.

    • Criteria for Returning Employee Retirement Records:
      • The system returns only active Employee Retirement Records (customrecord_ns4g_empretire), where:
        • The employee’s state retirement system is NS4G Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (Payroll ID: ns4g_azpsprs_retire).
        • The Employee Retirement Record's Payroll ID equals "ns4g_azpsprs_retire".
        • The retirement record begin date is on or before the Pay Date/Pay Period Retirement Date, and the end date is on or after the same date.
        • If there are overlapping retirement records, select the record with the latest end date.
        • If no valid Employee Retirement Record exists within the requested date range, the employee is not included in the report.
    • Employee Position and Pay Records:
      • Position and pay details are not required for this report.
      • Fields that depend on this information will be left blank as needed.
    • Report Generation & File Specifications
      • File format requirements:
        • Both Excel and CSV formats are available.
        • The file name format is: AZPSPRSmmddyyyy.sdr, where mmddyyyy reflects the Pay Date/Pay Period Retirement Date entered in Define Data.
    • Reference for formatting:
      • Please use the official PSPRS File Specification as the primary guide for file structure and definitions.
