What’s New for Oracle Checkout and Oracle Payment Terminal API

Here’s an overview of the new features and enhancements that were recently added to Oracle Checkout and Oracle Payment Terminal API.

Feature or Update	Description
In-Person Payment Transaction Status API	A new API endpoint enables Service Providers (integrators) to synchronously retrieve a payment’s status when terminal connectivity issues or timeouts prevent the original response from being received. This helps prevent duplicate payment attempts.

Oracle Checkout Support for Google Pay	Oracle Payments now supports a standardized Google Pay integration using an Oracle-owned Google Merchant ID. This provides a consistent integration model across customers and business units and simplifies operational management. This capability is production-ready and is currently being enabled with a pilot customer. General customer availability will be announced in a future release.
Support for American Express Compliance Requirements	Oracle Checkout Payment API requests now require a store-level identifier to support current American Express compliance requirements and align with evolving card network standards. Customer action required: Update your integration to include the store-level identifier in all payment requests.

Support for Custom Business Identifiers in Payment APIs	The Oracle Payments Checkout and Payment Terminal APIs now support custom fields for business identifiers. This enables Service Providers (integrators) to associate payments with identifiers already used in their business systems, such as invoice IDs, account IDs, patient IDs, reservation numbers, and order IDs. This improves transaction tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.

Oracle Payments Checkout - Support encrypted card blob	The Oracle Payments Checkout API now supports submitting card details as a single secure, encrypted payload. This enables PCI-certified partners and customers to retain their existing card entry and checkout experience while seamlessly integrating with Oracle Payments Checkout with less front-end rework.
