Add a New User to Cloud Account

You can create a user within the Retail Digital Commerce application in OneConsole who can work with the Service Console.

  1. Log in to OneConsole.
  2. You will be directed to Applications Home page.
  3. Under Quick Actions, click Add a user to your tenancy.
  4. Click Create user and complete these fields on the Create user page:
    1. Type the first and last names of the user in the respective fields.
    2. If you want the email address of the user to be the Username to access OneConsole, add it in the Username/Email field. Then, select Use the email address as the username.
    3. If you want to the Username to be different from the email address, type a unique username in the Username/Email field. Then, deselect Use the email address as the username. Enter the email address in the Email field.
    4. If you want to provide administrative privileges to the user, under Groups section, select Administrators group.
    5. Click Create.

The selected Oracle Cloud Services user is assigned to work with the Service Console of Retail Digital Commerce.

Retail Digital Commerce Cloud Environment Administrator

The Retail Digital Commerce Cloud Environment Administrator can perform all tasks required to create and manage Retail Digital Commerce environments. The Retail Digital Commerce Cloud Administrator can also view the subscriptions in your tenancy and access metrics data.

Example policy to apply on the group which needs the environment administrator privileges.

Allow group <your-group-name> to manage commercecloud-environment-family in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-subscriptions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-assigned-subscriptions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-subscription-regions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read metrics in tenacy

Retail Digital Commerce Cloud Environment Viewer

The Retail Digital Commerce Cloud environment viewer can view details and monitor the environments in the Oracle Cloud Console. This role cannot make any updates. The environment viewer can also view the subscriptions in your tenancy and access metrics data.

Example policy to apply on the group which needs the environment administrator privileges:

Allow group <your-group-name> to read commercecloud-environment-family in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-subscriptions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-assigned-subscriptions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read organizations-subscription-regions in tenacy
Allow group <your-group-name> to read metrics in tenacy
