Application Usage Guide

Application Navigator Links

Launching Collect and Receive (CaR) from Retail Home requires an entry under Retail Home Settings->Application Administration->Application. Refer to the Oracle Retail Home Administration Guide for information on configuration. The CaR Navigator Links configuration should be set up as follows:

Application Navigator: Must be enabled to launch CaR from Retail Home.
Application Name: Collect and Receive
Color Set: Choose any color.
Application Code: Select CARCS from the drop-down.
Application Link: The URL for CARCS:

https://<CAR-HOST>/api/delivery

Note:
Because there is no user interface in the CaR Cloud Service, the Application Link URL points to the service root, a non-functional link.

Pre-Configured Dashboards and Tiles

Delivery and return metrics from Collect and Receive (CaR) are now available on the Retail Home dashboard. Metrics will have their own dashboard tile with three tile states for each.

Configuration of the dashboard tiles and tile states are automatically seeded and configured during Retail Home installation. Changes to the configuration can be made in the Dashboard Configuration flow (Settings->Dashboards & Reports->Dashboards->Dashboard Configuration).

Below is a table of the dashboard tiles, tile state, and metrics for Collect and Receive.

Note:

Metrics are refreshed when a user loads the Retail Home Dashboard. There may be up to a 15-minute delay for the most recent counts to be returned by CaR metric service.

By default, CaR Metrics Dashboard Tiles are visible only to users with RETAIL_HOME_ADMIN role.

Subscription Metric Dashboard

CaR is not a cloud service that is sold separately and therefore does not have a metric associated with it like other cloud services.

Resource Bundle Customization

CaR has no resource bundles.

Customer Module Management

CaR has no customer-managed modules.
