Set a Capacity Rule

1. Open Tasks > Control and Tactical Center > Alert Management > Alerting > Capacity.
2. Create a rule and choose the merchandise range it covers, such as a department, class, or subclass. Choose a destination location or supported location group. A rule for a broad merchandise range applies to the combined units in that range, not to each item separately.
3. Enter Capacity Units for the selected destination and merchandise range. Enter the Tolerance percentage, if the business permits inventory above that capacity. Set the effective dates for the period in which the rule should apply.
4. Save the rule, add it to the relevant strategy, and submit the strategy. A saved rule that has not been submitted with the strategy should not be relied on for the next calculation.

Review rules when store space changes, a seasonal increase ends, or merchandise moves to a different destination. Disable a rule when the capacity limit should no longer be checked; update and resubmit the strategy before relying on the change in a new run.
