Simple Low Stock
In the Simple Low Stock alert you will set a percentage above minimum stock as the target for alerting. When the resulting available inventory falls below the threshold inventory is Low. This alert is only calculated on review days.
- If OP and OUTL are the same, minimum =Order Point – Forecast over LT + RT
- Otherwise, minimum = OP.
Alert if: Net Inventory + Receipt Forecast < minimum * (1+ minimum stock %).
Example: the minimum is 100, Net Inventory is 105, and constrained orders are 10, for 115 units in this check. A +20% setting gives a threshold of 120, so Low Stock qualifies.
A positive percentage warns before stock reaches the minimum. A negative percentage waits until stock is further below it. This can be especially useful when OP = OUTL but can trigger both shortage and low stock alerts for some situations.
