Oracle Retail Xstore Suite 23.0.0 includes the products below.
Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service
Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service is a point-of-sale application that provides the capabilities to carry out day-to-day transactions and conduct daily store activities. Tasks such as scanning items, applying price adjustments, tendering, and printing receipts as well as processing returns and web orders can be performed. Store operations including opening the store, managing registers and tills, and closing the store can be handled through Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service. As part of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service, these release notes include information about Xstore Point of Service Mobile and Xenvironment.
Oracle Retail Xstore Office
Oracle Retail Xstore Office is a central web-based management console that provides for the effortless management of the data and configurations that empower your associates. The user interface within Oracle Retail Xstore Office provides streamlined functionality that guides users through configuration changes, data changes, and deployments. Granular security access can create a custom experience for users of all access levels. Multiple support tools and alerts enable IT leaders to take a proactive approach to managing multiple installations.

Functional Enhancements
This section describes the functional enhancements for this release.
Self Checkout User Interface

A new configuration has been created allowing a customer the option to not print a receipt.

The ability to print gift receipts for one, many or all of the items in the self checkout transaction is now available.

When a customer has scanned their loyalty card, at the self checkout, the associate is able to add award discounts to the customer's transaction.

Retailers have the ability to sell kits that they have defined.

Ability has been added to tender with Oracle Retail Customer Engagement gift cards.

Selling predefined gift cards authorized by Oracle Retail Customer Engagement and EFTLink has been added.

An associate can re-enter a birth date when the entered birth date does not meet the age requirements for the item being purchased.

Retailers can configure icons for each start button on the home screen.

Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain and Portugal are now supported.

Retailers can create audio files to be used in pre-defined locations to guide customers through the transaction.

A new configuration has been created that allows a retailer to choose whether or not system cycle receipts print upon opening/closing registers.
Self Checkout Console
The Self Checkout Console allows associates to oversee all Self Checkout registers in a store from a web browser and provides the ability to open, close, activate, or deactivate single or multiple Self Checkout registers at a time. Additionally, individual registers can be immediately halted in the event of suspicious or problematic activity. The Self Checkout Console also alerts associates of any Self Checkout registers needing associate assistance or experiencing hardware errors.
Same Day Delivery Support for Orders
Same Day Delivery Support for Orders requires Xstore to integrate with the Collect and Receive (CaR) Cloud Service. This cloud service provides premier delivery, bringing together Oracle’s retail industry IP and cloud infrastructure with Uber’s extensive network of drivers and cutting-edge logistics technology to offer reliable and cost-effective same-day delivery services. Same Day Delivery transforms the Omnichannel experience by providing businesses with a fast, efficient, and cost-effective way to meet customers’ growing demand for faster delivery options.
SIOCS REST Service Integration
In addition to SOAP web services, Xstore POS supports REST versions of the web services when Xstore uses Store Inventory Cloud Service (SIOCS) for inventory.
Training Mode Support
Training Mode is now supported on Xstore Thin Client and Xstore Mobile. Access to training mode and the user experience is as comprehensive as Xstore Classic.
Vertex Tax Engine Integration
Xstore can now be integrated with Vertex using both a container or cloud version of the tax engine.
Country Accelerator Enhancements
Xstore Point of Service functionality has been extended to include the following in version 23.0.0.
Self Checkout
The Self Checkout User Interface is now available for Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico, Portugal and Spain.
Tax-Free Upselling
It is now possible to alert the user if the transaction amount is below the minimum required amount for issuing a tax-free invoice but above a configurable threshold.
Poland Country Accelerator
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Poland to comply with the fiscal laws.

Xstore issues Simplified Invoices.

Xstore complies with the new JPK (Jednolity Plik Kontrolny) specifications.
France Country Accelerator
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack France.

NF525 certification changes have been implemented to comply with the fiscal laws.

Xstore offers the possibility to not print a sale receipt when a transaction is created.

Retailer can indicate which items are subject to legal warranty.
Xstore Office Enhancements
Xstore Office functionality has been extended to include the following in version 23.0.0.
Technical Enhancements
This section addresses the technical enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 23.0.0.
Defect Fixes Documentation
A defect fix is a modification to the base Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service code (for example, a bug fix, a performance enhancement, a functional enhancement, or a technical enhancement). The file named DEFECT_MODULE_XREF_XSTORE_23.0.0.xlsx lists every defect number and the modules and scripts that are added or modified in the release. The file is posted to My Oracle Support at the following location: Oracle Retail Defect Document Listings (Doc ID: 2021275.1).
Deprecated Features
As part of the continuous delivery model for cloud services, features and technical components of a solution may be removed or replaced to enhance the security, performance, and overall quality of the cloud service. When this occurs, the deprecation of a feature or component will be announced in advance, allowing customers sufficient time to anticipate the change and transition to any enhanced replacement feature/component. After the deprecation is announced, the deprecated feature or component will remain in the solution until the planned removal date and will not be enhanced or made compatible with other new features.
