Upgrade the ESRI ArcGIS environment before enabling the modern integration.

• Upgrade ArcGIS to v11.3 or later using ESRI-recommended procedures.

• Confirm that required ESRI services and feature layers are available after the upgrade.

• Validate that preserved Global ID data is still accessible after the upgrade.
