Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management is used by some organizations who use a meter data management (mdm) system to record meter reading information. Since meter reads are not available in Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing to calculate consumption during the billing process, usage (or bill determinants) must be requested by Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing from the mdm system, Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management.
