Configuring the Service Request to Case Integration

The following sections provide details about the tasks you need to complete in your Oracle Utilities system.

Verify the SR Number Characteristic Type

Verify that the C1-SRNO characteristic type is valid for the Case entity.

Note:

You need a valid case characteristic type for each case type you want to synchronize with Oracle Fusion.

Oracle Utilities uses this characteristic to store the Oracle Fusion SR number after a case is synchronized. The Oracle Fusion SR stores the case ID as its external reference.

Specify Eligible Case Types

Configure the Case Synchronization master configuration business object to list the case types that can be synchronized with Fusion, and specify the Oracle Fusion Service Request page URL. For example, https://<FUSION_HOST>/fscmUI/redwood/service/ec/container/sr/details?srNumber=

Only cases that use the specified case types are eligible for synchronization. Additionally, configure eligible case types to require a person.

Activate Data Synchronization Control

The Case entry is available in the Data Synchronization Control extendable lookup. Keep the entry inactive until all integration configuration and testing are complete. Activate it when you are ready to begin synchronization.

This table as an example of the values in the extendable lookup:

Setting Value
Synchronization Name Case
Status Inactive
Maintenance Object Case
External System C1FUSION
Sequence 10
Synchronization Script Case Data Synchronization
Near Real-Time Enabled

Configure the OIC Endpoint

Configure the message sender to use the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) endpoint for the Service Request to Case integration.

Confirm the endpoint-management approach for your deployment. In particular, determine whether the endpoint is supplied through a framework URL variable or through a customer-specific message-sender configuration.

For on-premises deployments, configure and schedule the required monitor batch for case synchronization requests.
