Maintaining Lead Events

A lead event is an event or action in a lead to take place to encourage a customer to participate in a program. A lead may contain many lead events.

The Lead Event portal is used to maintain lead events. This portal contains the following zones:

• Lead Event: Displays the basic information about the lead event.

• Notes: Displays user-defined comments about this lead event

To maintain a lead event:

1. Select Menu, and then Sales & Marketing, and then Lead Event, and then Search.
2. Enter your search criteria in the Lead Event Query zone.
3. Click Refresh.
4. In the search results list, click the link for the lead event you want to maintain. The selected lead opens in the Lead Event portal.

   Note:

   You may also navigate to the Lead Event portal by clicking on the appropriate lead event from various portals and zones. Examples include:

   • Initiative Portal: Initiative Leads zone
   • Sales Representative Portal: Initiative Leads zone or Initiative Lead Events
5. Click the appropriate record action button:
   • Edit – Click the Edit button to allow you to edit the main attributes of the lead event. When you click Save, the system updates the record.
   • Complete – Click the Complete button to indicate a pending lead event is completed.
   • Cancel - Select the Cancel button to cancel a pending lead event.
6. Click the Add Notes icon, in the Notes zone, to capture additional information for the lead.
