Signing in to the CSI

The method that you use to sign in to the Customer Service Interface (CSI) depends on whether you use a standalone account or single sign-on (SSO). If you aren't sure which authentication method you use, contact your supervisor.

Note:

To access the CSI, you need a utility-specific URL. If you don't have the URL, contact your supervisor and add the URL to your browser bookmarks.

Signing in through a Stand-alone Account

If your utility provides a standalone CSI account, you must create a password before you can use the account. Your Customer Service Administrator provides the CSI URL, username, and temporary password for your first sign-in session. After you sign in, you can create a new password.

To sign in to the CSI through a stand-alone account:

  1. Navigate to the utility-specific CSI URL.

If you do not know the URL, ask your supervisor or Customer Service Administrator and add the URL to your bookmarks.

  2. Enter your username and temporary password.

If this is your first time using the CSI, the system prompts you to create a personal password to replace the temporary password.

Password requirements vary by utility. The CSI displays a message if your password doesn't meet the required criteria.

You have three attempts to sign in before the system locks your account. If your account is locked, contact your Customer Service Administrator.

After you sign in, the system automatically signs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Depending on your utility's configuration, the timeout period might be longer. Contact your supervisor if you have questions about your utility's timeout settings.

For more information, see Changing or Resetting Your CSI Password.

Signing in through SSO

If you use SSO to sign in to the CSI, use the existing username and password for your utility's website or customer service portal.

  1. Sign in to your utility account or customer service portal.
  2. Navigate to the CSI.

If you don't know the navigation path or don't have the utility-specific CSI URL, contact your supervisor.
