This image shows two regions labeled OCI Region 1 and OCI Region 2. Each region contains:

• A virtual cloud network (VCN) with a dynamic routing gateway (DRG) and an instance of MySQL Heatwave. The DRGs are connected by remote peering. The standby MySQL HeatWave in Region 2 is asynchronously synchronized through inbound channel replication from the primary MySQL HeatWave in Region 1.

• A DR Protection Group (Primary in OCI Region 1, Standby in OCI Region 2) that encompasses the MySQL instance and DR plans.

• OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery association between the regions.
