This image shows the Graph editor that is opened from the Compound Layout, and also shows the Graph properties dialog - General tab. The image shows Revenue for Brand by Quarter.

The Graph editor contains the following components:

• Done button: Use this button to save your changes in the Graph editor.

• Revert button: Use this button to abandon your changes in the Graph editor.

• Toolbar: Use the toolbar icons to print, export, preview, duplicate, rename, refresh, add calculated measures, edit the properties, and so on.

• Chart Preview area: Use this area to preview the changes to your chart.

• Layout area: Use this area to set prompts, sliders, and sections, and define the columns, and rows for the chart.

• Sample area: Use this area to view a sample of the current chart type, and to display the Subject Areas Folders.

The Graph Properties dialog shows attributes that you can set for the chart and contains the following components:

• General tab: Use this tab to set properties that are related to the chart canvas. For example, you can set canvas height, canvas width, justify the position for the legend, and so on.

• Style tab: Use this tab to set the properties that control the appearance of the chart. For example, you can set gridlines, 3D, and so on.

• Scale tab: Use this tab to set the properties for axis limits and tick marks.

• Titles and Labels tab: Use this tab to set the properties to control the titles and labels on the chart.
