Feature Availability and Comparison with Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 12.2.1.4

Oracle Analytics Server offers the same features as Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 12.2.1.4 with a few exceptions. This section outlines any features in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 12.2.1.4 that are deprecated, desupported, disabled by default, or behave differently in Oracle Analytics Server 5.5.0.

  • Deprecated: Deprecated features won't be enhanced in the future but are supported for the full life of the Oracle Analytics Server 5.5.x release. Where indicated, a deprecated feature might be desupported in a future, major release.

  • Desupported: When a feature is desupported, Oracle no longer fixes bugs related to that feature and may remove the code altogether.

  • Disabled by Default: Some features are disabled in Oracle Analytics Server and this is to notify you that the feature is deprecated and might be desupported in a future release. If you need to enable one of these features, contact Oracle Support.

Adobe's support for Flash Player ends on December 31, 2020. In line with this, Oracle might choose to desupport its Flash template capability in a future release. If you use this feature, Oracle recommends that you transition to one of the other supported templates.
