New and Changed Features for Release 12c (12.2.1.4.0)

Oracle Fusion Middleware Release 12c (12.2.1.4.0) of Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF) includes the following new and changed development features, which are described in this guide.

  • Consuming Web Services Using the ADF Model Layer describes the enhanced RESTful web service data control. Enhancements include:

    • Added a new section to describe how to create a OData data control for a RESTful web service using a connection to the OData endpoint. OData (Open Data Protocol) defines a set of best practices for building and consuming RESTful APIs without having to define request and response headers, status codes, HTTP methods, URL conventions, media types, payload formats, query options and so on. OData RESTful APIs are easy to consume. See section How to Create an OData Data Control for a RESTful Web Service.
