Dynamically deactivate a diagnostic system module


The WebLogic Diagnostics Framework allows you to dynamically deactivate a diagnostics system module without making a change to the domain configuration. This capability allows you to deactivate diagnostic system modules without obtaining a lock on the domain configuration or restarting the server instance to which the module is targeted. Note that if you dynamically deactivate a diagnostics system module, then restart the targeted server, the activation state of the module is reverted to whatever is configured in the domain.

To dynamically deactivate a diagnostic system module:

  1. In the left pane, select Diagnostics > Diagnostics Modules.
  2. On the Summary of Diagnostic Modules page, select the module you want to deactivate.
  3. Select Configuration > Control and select the check box next to the server instance to which the module is targeted.
  4. Click Deactivate.

Result

The selected diagnostic system module is disabled and no longer in effect. No server restart is necessary.
