Configure connection factory security parameters

After you configure a connection factory, you can customize the security information associated with messages sent through this factory.

To configure security parameters on a connection factory:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the Administration Console, navigate to the connection factory resource that you want to configure:
  3. Click the Configuration > Security tab.
  4. On the Security page, use the Attach JMSXUserID field to specify whether WebLogic Server attaches an authenticated username to sent messages. The username is placed in the JMSXUserID user property. JMSXUserID is defined in the JMS 1.1 specification.

For more information about this field, see Configuration Options.

  5. Save your changes:
  6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
