Before you begin
Note: WebLogic Server Multitenant domain partitions and
Resource Consumption Management are deprecated in WebLogic Server
12.2.1.4.0. The related Console and help pages will be removed in the
next release.
Create a Resource
Consumption Manager
A fair share constraint policy allows you to allocate a share (a
percentage of the available resource) based on a representative load for
each partition in the domain. See Configuring Resource Consumption Management.
To create a fair share constraint:
- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).

In the
Domain Structure tree, expand
Environment, then select Resource
Management.

On the Summary
of Resource Managers page, select the resource manager for which
you want to create a new fair share constraint.

On the
Policies page, click New on the
Fairshare Constraints table.

Select
the resource type for which you want to create a fair share
constraint.

Click
Next.

On the
Fairshare Constraint Properties page, enter the
properties for your new fair share constraint policy.
Resource Name -
Enter a name to identify this resource.
Fairshare Name -
Enter a name to identify this fair share constraint.
Value - The amount allocated (a percentage
of the available resource) for a fair share constraint.

Click
Finish.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
