Before you begin
      
      Note: WebLogic Server Multitenant domain partitions and
      Resource Consumption Management are deprecated in WebLogic Server
      12.2.1.4.0. The related Console and help pages will be removed in the
      next release.
      Create a Resource
  Consumption Manager
     
    
      A trigger defines a static constraint value for the allowed usage of
      a resource. When the consumption of that resource exceeds the constraint
      value, a specified action is performed. See Triggers.
      To create a trigger:
     
    - If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
 
      - 
        In the
        Domain Structure tree, expand
        Environment, then select Resource
        Management.
      
 
      - 
        On the Summary
        of Resource Managers page, select the resource manager for which
        you want to create a trigger.
      
 
      - 
        On the
        Policies page, click New on the
        Trigger table.
      
 
      - 
        Select
        the resource for which you want to create a trigger.
      
 
      - 
        Click
        Next.
      
 
      - 
        On the
        Trigger Properties page, enter the properties for your new
        trigger.
         
          
Trigger Name -
          Enter a name to identify this trigger.
        
         
          Value - The amount of resource allocated
          for a trigger.
        
         
          Action -The type of action taken when the
          trigger value is reached.
        
       
      - 
        Click
        Finish.
      
 
    - To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes. 
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
