Create a Resource
Consumption Manager
A trigger defines a static constraint value for the allowed usage of
a resource. When the consumption of that resource exceeds the constraint
value, a specified action is performed. See Triggers.
To create a trigger:
- If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
-
In the
Domain Structure tree, expand
Environment, then select Resource
Management.
-
On the Summary
of Resource Managers page, select the resource manager for which
you want to create a trigger.
-
On the
Policies page, click New on the
Trigger table.
-
Select
the resource for which you want to create a trigger.
-
Click
Next.
-
On the
Trigger Properties page, enter the properties for your new
trigger.
Trigger Name -
Enter a name to identify this trigger.
Value - The amount of resource allocated
for a trigger.
Action -The type of action taken when the
trigger value is reached.
-
Click
Finish.
- To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
