Access the Parameter Files

View and configure the Extract, Replicat, and Global parameter files from the Parameter Files options in the left navigation pane of the Administration Service.
Add, edit, delete parameter files for Extract, Replicat processes along with GLOBALS parameter file.

To use the different parameter file options:

  1. Click the Parameter Files option.

    A list of existing parameter files is displayed along with the GLOBALS parameter file.

  2. If you select any of the parameter files, you are presented with the option to edit or delete the selected file. If you want to change the GLOBALS parameter file, you need to restart the Administration Service and any Extracts and Replicats.

  3. Click + sign to add a parameter file.

  4. Enter the file name and content.

  5. Click Submit. The new parameter file is displayed in the list of parameter files.

View the Existing Parameter Files from the /ETC Directory

The actual location of the parameter files on the disk can be determined using the following steps:
  1. Identify the GoldenGate Deployment ETC Home:

    1. Go to Service Manager home page.

    2. Click the deployment from the Deployments section for which you need to find the parameters file.

    3. In the Deployment Detail page, view the path of the /etc home directory. The following image shows a sample of the /etc home directory location as seen from the Service Manager Deployment Detail page.

  2. From the command prompt, navigate to the /config/ogg directory where the parameter file is located.
