Pre-upgrade Steps

Learn about prerequisites for upgrading to Oracle GoldenGate Microservices Architecture.

• Install the most recent version of the Oracle GoldenGate release to which you want to upgrade. For installation steps, see Installing Oracle GoldenGate Microservices Architecture.

• If the Service Manager to be upgraded is managed using the Oracle Grid Infrastructure Agent (XAG), you must disable the Oracle GoldenGate instance before the upgrade to prevent the regular XAG healthchecks from failing during the upgrade process:

  $ agctl disable goldengate instance_name
