1.2 Oracle GoldenGate

Oracle GoldenGate provides the ability to capture and deliver database transactions for Oracle databases. This allows the use of Extract and Replicat on an Oracle database.

A license to Oracle GoldenGate includes a license to Oracle Active Data Guard and Oracle XStream, subject to the following prerequisite.

Prerequisite: A license to Oracle Database Enterprise Edition is a prerequisite to license and use Oracle Active Data Guard or Oracle XStream.

Restricted use: A license to Oracle GoldenGate includes a restricted-use license to GoldenGate for Applications and Analytics (GGDAA). Use of GGDAA is restricted to: (i) the JMS functionality used solely for enabling communication from Oracle GoldenGate to separately licensed Oracle Coherence Grid Edition deployments; and/or (ii) the Kafka functionality used solely for enabling communication from Oracle GoldenGate to separately licensed Oracle Stream Analytics deployments.
