Display summary information about metrics in charts

You can display summary information about metrics displayed in a chart by pointing the mouse at, or using the keyboard shortcuts to bring focus to, the following objects:

Point to a metric data point in the viewport of a time-series chart to display the following information about the metric:
- Name
- Date and time the metric data point was sampled
- Value
Point to a metric marker symbol in a gauge chart to display the following statistics about that metric:
- Name — the label displayed in the legend
- The beginning and end of the time interval during which the metric values displayed in the chart were sampled
- Most recently sampled value
- Minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation of sampled values
Point to a metric's legend in a chart to display the following information corresponding to the metric:
- Name — the label displayed in the legend
- Metric — the MBean attribute name
- Type — the corresponding MBean type
- Server name and instance
Point to a chart overview to display the following information about the metrics plotted in the chart:
- Total number of metric data samples collected
- Time interval of data currently displayed in the viewport
- Total time interval of all data collected in the chart
- The begin and end time of data collection in the chart
Note that using keyboard shortcuts can provide a convenient and precise means to display information about metrics in a chart as you shift focus from one data point to another. After you finish
