If you want to evaluate a patching workflow prior to executing it, create a workflow as described in Create a patching workflow for domains, clusters, or servers.

When creating the workflow, ensure that you select the Dry Run checkbox. This will test the commands in the workflow for any issues without actually executing the workflow.
