67 Orphaned Content
One task that synchronization cannot accomplish is deleting synchronized assets that have dependents. This results in orphaned content.
Orphaned content is an asset that you cannot delete when its counterpart content item is either deleted, expired, or disabled from synchronization (by having its Sync To Sites option set to False
). You cannot delete the orphaned asset because dependencies were created on that asset since the last synchronization session.
Note:
If a synchronized asset is shared across content management sites, it is deleted, unless it has dependents.
