61 Setting Up Email Objects

You create email objects so that your step and timed actions can send them to the appropriate participants at the appropriate times. Examine the sketches of your workflow processes, determine the email messages you must have, and then use the procedures in this section to create and edit them.

Your user account must give you access to the Admin node, under the General Admin tree, in order for you to create email objects.

To ensure that your workflow process can successfully send email messages, the following conditions must be true:

  • The following properties must be configured to provide information about your email server:

    • cs.emailaccount

    • cs.emailauthenticator

    • cs.emailcharset

    • cs.emailcontenttype

    • cs.emailhost

    • cs.emailpassword

    • cs.emailreturnto

  • The xcelerate.emailnotification property must be set to true.

  • The workflow participants must have email addresses specified in their user profiles. For information about creating user profiles, see “Working with User Profiles and User Attributes” in Administering Oracle WebCenter Sites.
