Disaster Recovery Framework

If a zone cluster will be configured in an Oracle Solaris Cluster Disaster Recovery Framework (Geographic Edition) configuration, the zone cluster must meet the following requirements:

  • Each zone-cluster node must have a public-network IP address that corresponds to the zone-cluster node's hostname.

  • The zone-cluster node's public-network IP address must be accessible by all nodes in the Disaster Recovery Framework configuration's partner cluster.

  • Each zone-cluster must have a failover IP address that maps to the hostname that corresponds to the zone-cluster name.

If you plan to use the Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager browser interface to administer Disaster Recovery Framework components, all cluster nodes must have the same root password. For more information about Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager, see Chapter 12, Using the Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager Browser Interface in Administering an Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.4 Configuration.
