1 About Image Builder
Image Builder is a tool for creating customized images of Oracle Linux that you can deploy on
different platforms such as the cloud or bare metal systems. With Image Builder, you can
generate these customized images in different formats, such as tar or
iso.
Image Builder isn't automatically included in an Oracle Linux installation and requires a
separate package download. After installing Image Builder and completing the required system
configurations, you can use either the command line or the Cockpit web console to create
custom Oracle Linux images.
