Subscribe to ULN Channels
If a system is subscribed to ULN and you want to install the Oracle KVM Stack, you must subscribe to the
ol9_<arch>_kvm_utils
ULN channel before installing the virtualization packages.
Note:
A ULN channel subscription isn't required when installing the Default KVM Stack. The Default KVM Stack is available in the standard ULN channels on an Oracle Linux 9 system.
What Do You Need?
- A registered ULN Oracle Linux 9 server. For details on how to register an Oracle server with ULN, see Oracle Linux: Managing Software on Oracle Linux.
- Ensure that the system meets the virtualization package requirements for the KVM application stream module that you're installing. See KVM Repositories and Channels: Yum and ULN.
- Ensure that UEK R7 is installed and running on the system.
- ULN username and password.
Steps
To subscribe to ULN channels, follow these steps:
- Sign in to https://linux.oracle.com with your ULN username and password.
- On the Systems tab, from the list of registered systems, select the link name for the specified system.
- On the System Details page, select Manage Subscriptions.
- On the System Summary page, select the required
ol9_<arch>_kvm_utils
channel from the Available Channels list, then click the right-arrow to move selected channels to the Subscribed Channels list. - Click Save Subscriptions.
