1 About TuneD
TuneD can be used to optimize the system's performance and power consumption for different use cases, and consists of the following main components:
- TuneD Profiles
-

A profile is a set of predefined optimizations for system components, such as CPUs, and disk devices. Some profiles, such as latency-performanceandnetwork-latency, are configured to prioritize performance, whilst others, such aspowersave, are configured to use less power. Select the profile to use on a server according to the workload and the required power-performance balance of those tasks. Custom TuneD profiles with extra optimizations for a specific system can also be used.
- tune-admcommand line utility
-

Use the tune-admcommand to manage profiles on the server, list available profiles, and select the current system profile.
