Host Watchdog Parameters

The following host watchdog parameters can be set by the user in one of the following ways:

• Preferred method: Use the ilomconfig modify hostwatchdog command to change the parameters. See Host Watchdog ilomconfig Commands.

• Manually edit the configuration file. See Manually Edit the Configuration File in Oracle Hardware Management Pack 2.4 Server Management Agents User’s Guide.

Timer Action	host_watchdog_timer_action	The action Oracle ILOM takes when the host become unresponsive.	Warning|Reset|PowerOff|PowerCycle	Warning
Timer Value	host_watchdog_timer_value	The periodic time interval, in seconds, at which Oracle ILOM performs the Timer Action if the host is unresponsive.	Positive integer with a maximum of 6553	300
Admin State	host_watchdog_admin_state	The state in which the user (Admin) sets the host watchdog.	Enable|Disable	Disable
Reset Period	host_watchdog_reset_period	The periodic time interval, in seconds, at which the host informs Oracle ILOM that the host is alive. This value has to be less than that of Timer Interval.	Positive integer that is less than the value of the Timer Value	60
