USB Ports

Each SMOD has a single external USB 3.0 port. The USB port supports hot-plug insertion and removal. You can connect and disconnect a USB cable or a peripheral device while the server is running without affecting server operations.

For a single 4-socket system, the USB port on SMOD0 connects to System A and the USB port on SMOD1 is inactive.
For a dual 4-socket system, the USB port on SMOD0 connects to System A and the USB port on SMOD1 connects to System B.
For a single 8-socket system, both USB ports connect to System A.

Each USB port supplies 5V output at 2A.
