Set Up Oracle Identity Cloud Service

Before you use the SDK for Android Applications, learn about the prerequisites and learn how to assign administrator roles to your Oracle Identity Cloud Service user account. The administrator roles are required to download the SDK for Android Applications and register the sample application, which is contained within the SDK, in Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

Before You Begin

Before you begin setting up Oracle Identity Cloud Service:

  • Read the Learn about using SDKs to authenticate applications solution.

  • Get a basic knowledge of the Java programming language to understand the code logic.

  • Get access to an instance of Oracle Identity Cloud Service, and privileges to download the SDK from the console and to register a confidential application.

  • Download the Android sample application either from GitHub or as a zip file, and then extract it to a temporary folder on your computer.
