This image shows three Oracle Cloud Infrastructure regions, each with a VCN, Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG), and Regional Subnet.

Oracle Cloud Region-1 uses VCN 10.0.0.0/16 and Regional Subnet 10.0.1.0/24. A Primary Database and Observer-1VM reside in the regional subnet.

Oracle Cloud Region-2 uses VCN 192.168.0.0/16 and Regional Subnet 192.168.1.0/24. A Standby Database and Observer-2 VM reside in the regional subnet.

Oracle Cloud Region-3 uses VCN 172.16.0.0/16 and Regional Subnet 172.16.1.0/24. Observer-3 VM resides in the regional subnet.

A two-way Remote Data Guard connection links the Primary Database and Standby Database. Two-way connections link Observer-1 VM with Observer-2 VM, Observer-1 VM with Observer-3 VM, and Observer-2 VM with Observer-3 VM.

A two-way Remote Peering Connection (RPC) links RPC 1 in Region-1 with RPC 1 in Region 2. Two-way connections link RPC 2 in Region-1 with RPC1 in Region 3, and RPC 2 in Region-3 with RPC2 in Region 2 .
