• Users, such as clinicians.
• Medical imaging devices. Devices send data to PACS/VNA.
• PACS/VNA systems that store medical images. PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) systems manage and display medical images for specific departments, while a Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) is a centralized, vendor-neutral solution for storing, accessing, and managing all medical imaging data from various PACS and devices in an organization.

  PACS/VNA sends data to the OCI Roving Edge Device.

• OCI Roving Edge Device transmits data to the OCI API Gateway in the OCI Region by using a DICOMweb API and OCI FastConnect.

The OCI Region includes:

• OCI API Gateway enables on-premises data transfer to the DICOM store.
• A DICOM Store that includes OCI Object Storage, Orthanc (an open-source DICOM server), and an OCI Database with PostgreSQL.
• An Inference block that includes OCI Kubernetes Engine and communicates with the DICOM store.
• Training/Fine-tuning block that includes another OCI Kubernetes Engine instance used for training that communicates with the DICOM store.
• Other services support the workflow including Data Science, OCI Identity and Access Management, Oracle Cloud Guard, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring, and OCI Logging.
