Example
DG_properties.ini
Files
The following are example DG_properties.ini
files for
different primary and standby database environments.
Example 1: Oracle RAC OCI DB System with Oracle RAC OCI DB System
The following is an example of a
DG_properties.ini
file for configuring Oracle Data Guard between two Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle
RAC) database systems in Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI), a primary OCI DB System and a standby OCI DB System. The version
in this example is 21c. The DG_properies.ini
file is the same in primary
and standby. Comments are truncated for readability.

Example 2: On-premises Oracle RAC with OCI DB System Oracle RAC
The following is an example of a
DG_properties.ini
file for configuring Oracle Data Guard in a hybrid environment: between a primary on-premises Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle
RAC) and a standby OCI DB System Oracle RAC, version 19c. In this case, there
are some differences in the general properties. Because the Grid OS user is different
between the primary and standby, the DG_properies.ini
files are a bit
different in the primary and standby systems.
