The Azure Region has a Subscription inside an Availability Zone. The Subscription contains a Customer VNet and an Oracle Database@Azure instance.
The OCI Region contains the following OCI Managed Services: Control Plane and OCI Object Storage.

The following are located in the Subscription:

Customer VNet
Within the Customer VNet is an Application Subnet that includes Azure Kubernetes Service and Kubernetes pods on Application 1, Application 2, and Application 3 to manage microservices.

Each application on the Application Subnet has an SQL connection string to a PDB connector in the CDB in the OCI Managed Network delegated client subnet.
Oracle Database@Azure
Within the Oracle Database@Azure is Oracle Database Autonomous Recovery Service, a Client Subnet (delegated), a Backup Subnet, and an OCI Managed Network that spans the subnets.

An Oracle Exadata Database Service with a container database (CDB) with three pluggable databases (PDBs) spans the two subnets inside of the OCI Managed Network.

Automatic backups from the Oracle Exadata Database Service are sent to the Oracle Database Autonomous Recovery Service on Oracle Database@Azure and to OCI Object Storage on the OCI Region.
