This diagram shows the high-level relationships between different types of data
domains and data users. For simiplicity's sake, there are two source-aligned domains, a
single aggregate domain, and two consumer-aligned domains.
- One source-aligned domain receives input from enterprise applications. Its data
products are used by the aggregate domain and by the consumer-aligned domain the
products of which are used by end-users.
- The seconed source-aligned domain receives input from devices and from
events. Its data products are used by the aggregate domain.
- The aggregate domain uses data products from the source-aligned domains and provides
its data products to the consumer-aligned domains
- One consumer-aligned domain receives data products from both the aggregate domain
and from the source-aligned domain that gets its data from enterprise applications.
Its data products are used be end-users.
- The second consumer-aligned domain receives data products from the aggregate domain.
Its data products are used be applications and things.
