The image represents a subscription within a Microsoft Azure region that contains an Azure Container Registry service, an application, and two availability zones (AZs): 1 and 2. Both AZs have a primary database VNet with delegated subnet that contain Oracle Autonomous Database (primary and secondary), and their corresponding private endpoints (PEs). An additional VNet/subnet for applications is shown with Azure Kubernetes Service and load balancer service.

An application sends a request for application services to the Azure load balancer, which in turn routes the request to an available Kubernetes hosted service. The back-end Kubernetes services connects to the primary Oracle Autonomous Database using VNet peered subnets.

For business continuity, Oracle Autonomous Database primary continuously sends data to Oracle Autonomous Database standby through an Oracle Autonomous Data Guard, and to OCI Object Storage in an OCI services region, using automatic backup.
