The image shows an OCI region containing a VCN spanning across an availability domain with three fault domains (1, 2, and 3). The VCN has a service gateway, an LB subnet, a private app subnet, and a DB private subnet, each spanning all fault domains, and each with a network security group (NSG). The OCI region also contains OCI Object Storage, OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), Policies, Auditing, OCI Monitoring, and OCI Logging.

The internet connects to a load balancer via a NAT gateway on the VCN. Employees and internal users connect to the load balancer via a dynamic routing gateway (DRG) on the VCN via OCI FastConnect. Maximo admins can connect to OCI Bastion to manage and maintain the worker nodes. OCI Bastion is in fault domain 1 and connects to a load balancer in fault domain 2.

The app subnet contains:

The DB private subnet contains an Oracle Database in fault domain 1, and a MySQL database system in fault domain 3.
