This image shows an on-premises data center and an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region, connected with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect. The on-premises data center has Customer on-premises equipment which uses Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect to connect to the dynamic routing gateway (DRG) in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region has a compartment and two Availability Domains. All resources are deployed in a single region and within a single compartment. The region includes Oracle Cloud Identifier (OCID) to uniquely identify each resource in a tenancy, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Web Application Firewall policies, logging, and audit services.
-
Cloud Guard is enabled for the tenancy and the compartment.
The tenancy includes the following resources:- A virtual cloud network (VCN) with a dynamic routing gateway
(DRG) and a internet gateway.
Traffic between the on-premises data center and the services in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy are routed through the DRG.
- Each subnet has a local peering gateway between the subnet and VCN.
- The following services are shown in the Oracle services
network:
- Policies
- Logging
- Audit

VCN A has Private Subnet A and an internet gateway and connection to the internet. The API Gateway is located in Private Subnet A.
VCN B has Private Subnet A and a DRG gateway and connection to the on-premises data center and a load balancer.
The following are located in Availability Domain 1 in VCN B: Bare Metal Compute, Virtual Machine, Functions, and Container Engine for Kubernetes
The following are located in Availability Domain 2 in VCN B: Bare Metal Compute, Virtual Machine, Functions, and Container Engine for Kubernetes
