Oracle and VMware have developed a fully certified and supported software-defined data center (SDDC) solution called Oracle Cloud VMware Solution. This solution uses Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to host a highly available VMware SDDC. It also allows seamless migration of on-premises VMware SDDC workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Once you've followed this straigtforward process to deploy Veeam Backup & Replication in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure native Compute instances, you can protect your Oracle Cloud VMware Solution with minimum operational overhead. Veeam Backup & Replication seamlessly integrates with Oracle's Storage services to provide users with highly available, scalable and economical storage for a reliable backup solution. Users can utilize Block Volume and File Storage for the performance tier and Object Storage for capacity tier.

About Backup and Recovery Tasks

You can perform the below data protection and disaster recovery tasks using Veeam Backup & Replication:

• Create backups of VMs and physical machines that are crash consistent and application consistent.
• Restore physical machines, VMs, VM disks, guest OS files, and application items.
• Verify that backups aren’t corrupted and are ready to restore.
• Create VM replicas and switch to them if a disaster occurs.
• Automate the transfer of backups to tapes and other external repositories.
