This image shows the FastConnect connection with two virtual circuits and two different FastConnect locations.

Illustrated are two private clouds (Private 1 and Private 2) connected by two FastConnect locations to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region (Region 1). This region contains a virtual cloud network (VCN; labeled VCN 10.40.0.0/16). Within the VCN are three subnets, one private (Public Subnet 10.40.10.0/24) and two private (Private Subnet 10.40.0.0/24, and Private Subnet 10.40.1.0/24).

Private cloud 1 is connected to FastConnect Location 1 via Edge device 1.

Private cloud 2 is connected to FastConnect Location 1 via Edge device 2. It is also connected to FastConnect Location 2 through that locations Edge Device 1 but this connection is only used if the partner is not present in location 2.

For both FastConnect locations, connection to the VCN is through a Dynamic Routing Gateway, labeled Dynamic Routing headend.
