Configure OCI Load Balancer for E-Business Suite Asserter

Configure the OCI Load Balancer for E-Business Suite Asserter.

  1. Open a supported browser and enter the Console URL: https://cloud.oracle.com. Enter your Cloud Account Name, also referred to as your tenancy name, and then click Next.
  2. Select the identity domain to sign in to. This is the identity domain that is used to configure E-Business Suite Asserter, for example Default. Sign in with your user name and password.
  3. Open the navigation menu, then click Networking and then click Load Balancers.
  4. Click Create Load Balancer, then select the Load Balancer option, and then click Create Load Balancer.
  5. Enter a Load Balancer Name.
  6. Select Flexible Shapes.
  7. Select the VCN in which the E-Business Suite Asserter servers are created.
  8. Select public subnet of the VCN under subnet.
  9. Select the Load Balancing Policy as per your requirement. In this playbook example, Weighted Round Robin is selected.
  10. Click Choose Backends.
  11. Select the E-Business Suite Asserter servers from the list and click Add Selected Backends. Provide the respective port used by each of the E-Business Suite Asserter's Weblogic Managed Servers. For example, port 7003.
  12. In the specify Health Check Policy section, enter/select the following details:
    • Protocol: HTTP
    • Port: 7003
    • Status Code: 200
    • URL Path: /ebs/about

      Leave other sections as default.

  13. Click Show Advanced Options, and then click Session Persistence.
  14. Click Application Cookie Persistence. Enter the cookie name as "ASSERTERSESSIONID"
  15. Click Next.
  16. In the Configure Listener section, enter a name for the listener. For example, EBS_Asserter_Listener.
  17. Select HTTPS as the protocol and verify if the port 443 is provided.
  18. In the SSL Certificate section, select Certificate Service Managed Certificate.
    Note: If you want to use your own certificate, then select Load Balancer Managed Certificate. You will get the option to add certificate, CA and private keys.
  19. Select the respective certificate and then click Next.
  20. In the Error Logs section, click Enabled.Verify the compartment selected is the one in which the load balancer was created.
  21. Click Create a new log group and enter a name for the log group. Enter the Log Name and Log Retention details.
  22. Click Submit.
