The image shows a Primary Google Cloud region and OCI region and a Standby
Google Cloud region and OCI region with a shared VPC across the Primary and Standby
Google Cloud regions.
The Primary and Standby Google Cloud regions host Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service, the Application subnet, and Oracle Database@Google Cloud.
Oracle Database@Google Cloud is within the shared VPC and replicated in the Standby region. Oracle Standby Exadata
Database Service is grayed out in the Standby region within the VPC hosting Oracle Database@Google Cloud.
The Primary and Standby OCI regions host the Hub VCN and OCI Managed Services with Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service and OCI Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Vault. The Standby OCI region exactly replicates the Primary region and used Remote Peering
to connect through the Primary and Standby DRGs in each region respectively OCI Vault
used Key replication to replicate the keys in both regions.
- In the Hub VCN Standby within the Standby OCI Region uses the IP 10.16.0.0/24.
- In the Hub VCN Primary within the Primary OCI Region uses the IP 10.15.0.0/24.
In the Primary Google Cloud region, Oracle Database@Google Cloud hosts the following:
- VCN Primary with a Backup subnet and a Client subnet with Oracle Primary Exadata
Database Service shared between the Backup and Client (10.5.0.0/24) subnets.
- Oracle Primary Exadata Database Service has automatic backups set up in the Backup
subnet to Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service in both the Google Cloud as well as OCI Region.
- Oracle Primary Exadata Database Service interacts with the Application subnet
hosting the app with a two-way arrow and also replicates with a one-way arrow to the
Oracle Standby Exadata Database Service in the Standby region.
- Oracle Primary Exadata Database Service uses local peering with the LPG within the
Primary OCI region through the Primary and Hub LPGs. The Primary LPG is on the VCN
Primary and the Hub Primary LPG is on the Hub VCN Primary.
- Oracle Standby Exadata Database Service uses local peering with the LPG within the
Standby OCI region through the Standby and Hub LPGs. The Primary LPG is on the VCN
Primary and the Hub Standby LPG is on the Hub VCN Primary.
